After doing the two painting, I realized that there is much more for me to learn about paintings
It has always been my interest to pursue Architecture as I have always been fascinated by the buildings around me. However, studying architecture in Manchester is a lifetime dream. Living in a commonwealth country, there are many remnants of the British architecture in my country and I had always adored those designs. So, by getting a chance to learn in MSA would allow me to experience first hand the British architecture in its origin land.
My favorite building is the Holy Prophet's Mosque and I've got a chance to experience the architectural piece myself. The next on my bucket list would be the Moscow Kremlin Palace in Rusia. Although it was made with a Russo-Byzantine style, but in a way it also imitates the British architectural style that I adore. Moreover, the most exciting thing that I want to experience from the architecture is the interior design. The mid-eighteenth century style caught my attention especially through the elegant colours of the interior.
My favorite architect would be the late Zaha Hadid, who had designed many buildings globally especially in modern designs (such as the Heydar Aliyev Center). Zaha Hadid had shown that modern designs are as classy as the old ones. Some of her works are made using geometrical designs (which is common for modern designs) and cellular designs such as the London Aquatics Center.
However, my favorite building would be the Holy Prophet's Mosque in Madeena. I adore it's contemporary design of the mosque while preserving the sacred sections and historical parts of the mosque. My most favorite part of the Holy mosque is its vast compound, where there are many retractable canopies that would open up when it is sunny.
Art Expo Malaysia Plus is an annually held art expo and is said to be the longest running art expo in Southeast Asia. The art expo was held at MATRADE in 2016. When I first arrive there, I was amazed at how big the expo is, bringing both local and international artists. However, what fascinates me more is the space of the expo. MATRADE is wide, but I've never imagined that it could fit the many artworks of the expo. The expo was a successful one in exposing the different cultures from different parts of the world. I could see the differences between the culture of China and my home country especially through the mediums and styles used for the artworks. In fact, I also learned a lot about my own Malay culture especially from artworks that truly resembles our culture.
